Professional Interests?

I am a social scientist by training but my interests cover a much broader area than simply social science. Overlapping areas in health services research, measurement, research methodology, data analysis, and computational algorithms are just a few that currently grab my attention. I also actively read, discuss, and write about general science and public policy related to these areas.

Projects?

I am involved in several research, development, and social science projects. My general interests are in merging technology with social programming to positively affect current social problems. The projects listed on this site tend to be long-standing and ongoing projects that require different skills - many I do not possess. If you are interested in helping on any of these projects, please do no hesitate to email me.

Personal Interests?

In my limited free time, I relax with my wife and son. When time permits, I am a self-styled hardware and software hacker. I do not restrict my hacking to just computers but, to my wife’s displeasure, extend meddling to home automation, home remodelling, and general tinkering. My dad, brother, and I were all trained as mechanical engineers and we all remain attracted to mechanical processes including sailing, computing, skiing/snowboarding, and various forms of exercise. My personal interests page lists all my extra-curricular activities and related links.
